Azusa Itagaki debuted as a finalist in the 2004 All Japan High School Girl Uniform Collection System gravure
 contest, also known as Seikore. In 2005, she debuted in a swimsuit gravure video, "Cotton Candy", produced by
 Line Communications and filmed in Bali. In August 2007, she opened her official blog, "3 Minutes Cooking Azusa"
(Azusa no 3-fun kukkingu), and, in September 2007, she announced her switch from gravure modeling to AV,
 signing an exclusive contract with the label Soft On Demand (SOD).[Her debut movie for "SOD," Entertainer Azusa
 Itagaki Debut, was released in November 2007.[Despite her late start, Itagaki was one of the most popular
 AV actresses for the year 2007, ranking at #6 on the list of 100 best selling actresses at the video retailer DMM
 (part of the Hokuto Corporation).[She was listed in the #10 spot at DMM for 2008,[and, after a year at "SOD"
 columnist Kemuta ??tsubo considered her to be the mainstay of the company.[ In 2009, she ranked at #70 on the
 DMM list, and she was nominated for the Best Actress Award at the 2009 Adult Broadcasting Awards.
