Hello people,
    We have twenty-one (21) birthdays on this date;seven singers,seven actresses,
a model,two politicians,two journalist,a comedian and a socialite.
   Let's start with the five singers.

 1)Born on Monday,September 6,1943 in Great Bookham,UK is a singer,songwriter,
bassist and composer.In 1965,he co-founded a very progressive rock band with drummer Nick Mason,keyboardist Richard Wright and guitarist,singer and songwriter Syd Barrett.In 1973 the band released an album that spent over 900 weeks on the US Billboard 200.Longer than any album in Billboard chart history.One of the songs from that album you can find in the top ten (10) of my all-time top 6500.

 2)Born on Saturday,September 6,1980 in Warrington,UK is a singer and media personality.She was a member of a very popular UK girl group from 1998 until her first departure in 2001 and again from 2012 until her second departure in 2017.The group had three #1 UK singles with one spending 4 weeks at #1 and according to Barry Kowal's calculation this song was the #1 song in the UK for the entire year of 2001.Also in 2001 the group went to #1 with a cover of a Bangles' song that went to #1 on the US Billboard Hot 100.

She was best known as the lead vocalist and lyricist for a very popular alternative rock band.She had one of the most recognisable voices in rock in the 1990s.The band between 1994 and 1995 had a song that peaked at #1 for 8 weeks on Australian (ARIA) weekly singles chart.

actress.She was born Marjorie Lee Thoreson.She dropped out of high school and moved
to Los Angeles after her parents divorced in 1967.She worked as a receptionist,
a cocktail waitress and a topless dancer as well as studied acting and participated
in several beauty contests prior to becoming the Penthouse Pet of the Month in the
September,1973 issue of "Penthouse." She subsequently graced the cover of the
December,1973 issue of "Viva." She has secondary roles in the enjoyably trashy 70's
drive-in exploitation pictures "The Centerfold Girls," "Mama's Dirty Girls," and
"Act of Vengeance." She was named the Penthouse Pet of the Year in the October,1975
issue of "Penthouse" (she both graced the cover and did a nude pictorial for this
particular issue).She did a coast to coast promotional tour of the United States in
which she visited war veteran hospitals in October,1975 and embarked on an international
USO tour for the US Department of Defense which lasted from December,1975 to January,1976.
She portrayed the depraved Messalina in both the notorious "Caligula" and the cheesy
Italian soft-core comedy cash-in "Messalina! Messalina!".She moved to New York City
in the early summer of 1977. Photos from her steamy lesbian love scene in "Caligula"
with fellow "Penthouse" Pet Lori Wagner were published in the June,1980 issue of
"Penthouse." Her final film appearance was a small part as a nurse in Brian De
Palma's "Dressed to Kill." Her career suffered as a direct result of the box office
failure and harsh critical reception of "Caligula." In 1988 she sued "Penthouse"
magazine publisher Bob Guccione on charges of sexual harassment. She only won a
measly $4.06 in damages after the trial was over and finished.Guccione struck back
at her by reprinting the photos of her and Wagner's lesbian love scene in the
February,1991 issue of "Penthouse." Her dead body was discovered on the shore by
joggers in Camp Pendleton,California on January 4,2011:the cause of death was
drowning.She was 58 years old.
