(died:June 1,1991 in Philadelphia,Pennsylvania,USA) was a soul singer and musician
most famous for his work as one of the lead singers of a very famous Motown group 
during the group's "Classic Five" period as it was later known.He was the lead 
voice for the group on a song that peaked at #1 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and was
the song that Billboard Magazine ranked as the #10 song for the entire year of 1965
on their year-end Top 100.

producer and musician.His accolades include two Academy Awards,three Golden Globe

of Eliot Ness in "The Untouchables" (1987). This was followed by a widely

renown for his appearances in romantic comedy and screwball comedy films such as 
"The Awful Truth" (1937),"Bringing Up Baby" (1938),"His Girl Friday" (1940) and 
"The Philadelphia Story" (1940).Along with the later "Arsenic and Old Lace" (1944)
and "I Was a Male War Bride" (1949); these films are frequently cited as among 
the all-time great comedy films.Having established himself as a major Hollywood
