* Shadoe Stevens started broadcasting American Top 40 on August 13,1988.From
August 13,1988 to November 23,1991 his charts followed the US Billboard Hot 100
charts.On November 30,1991 the show switched to "Radio Monitor" and followed the
Hot 100 Airplay Chart,still continuing under the name "American Top 40". In January
of 1995 American Top 40 would fold and become dormant for three yeaes.In March of
1998 American Top 40 would resurrect where it would continue into the 21st century.
